The A-plot centers on a moment of pure childhood terror for the 10-year-old genius: a birthday party invitation. When Sheldon’s only friend (and reluctant keeper), Tam, receives an invite to a classmate’s party, Sheldon assumes he is automatically included. He is wrong.
