I finally unpacked that one box from our move three months ago. I said “no” to something I didn’t have the energy for. And my kid went a full day without using my favorite sweater as a napkin.

I used to think being a good mom, a good partner, a good person meant doing it all perfectly. Now I think it means showing up — tired, messy, sometimes still in my pajamas at 2 PM — and choosing to try anyway.
