Lighting: The Day-Glo Nightmare One of the most striking choices in Foodtopia is the lighting. The original film was mostly confined to the fluorescent hellscape of a Shopwell’s supermarket. Season 1 expands to an outdoor settlement ("Foodtopia"), which allowed MPC to play with hyper-saturated, golden-hour lighting that feels deeply wrong for talking food.
