Leo blinked. “What?”
Finally, Jax reached the prison yard wall. The moon was a single yellow pixel. A chain-link fence stretched into the distance, topped with razor wire. Beyond it: freedom.
Hemmings didn’t answer right away. Instead, he reached past Leo and clicked on the screen. Jax was still crouched in the warden’s office, keycard in hand, the laser grid blinking behind him.
