They maintain the "Scream-Posts"—massive iron tuning forks driven into the ground around the town that resonate with the Fogmen's cries, confusing their echolocation.

Surrounded by a perpetual, choking sea of pale white mist, Mongrel sits at the crux of three major Fogmen deathyards.
