The park is thriving, but attendance is dropping. To boost excitement, geneticists create the Indominus rex – a massive, intelligent hybrid dinosaur. When it escapes, park operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) and former Navy veteran Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), who trains raptors, must contain the creature and evacuate visitors.
