Important Note: On Windows 10 and Windows 11, DirectX is built into the operating system and is automatically updated via Windows Update. You cannot download or install a "standalone" DirectX 12 update separately. However, older versions (DirectX 9, 10, 11) use legacy runtimes that may need updating for older games.
