Fill a turkey baster or bulb syringe with warm (not boiling) water. Insert the tip into the drain hole and gently squirt water to loosen debris. If you don’t have a baster, use a funnel with a thin spout or carefully pour a small amount of water from a cup.

After brushing, flush again with warm water. The water should flow freely down the hole and into the drip pan underneath the fridge (outside). If water backs up, the clog remains — repeat steps 4–5.

Use a cloth to wipe away any standing water or food bits around the hole. If the hole is covered by a plastic clip or cover, gently remove it.
