(shared for educational purposes) Abstract This paper analyzes the ecological integrity of German Feuchtgebiete (wetlands) as of the 2013 reporting cycle under the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD). Using remote sensing data (Landsat 8) and in-situ hydrochemical sampling from 42 sites across the North German Plain, we assess peat degradation, nutrient runoff, and biodiversity loss.
