So we delay. We tweak the logo. We rewrite the “About” page for the 14th time. We wait for confidence to arrive like a package from Amazon.

Because here’s the secret: the real quack—the one that lands, that connects, that changes things—is never the first quack. It’s the one that comes after you’ve stopped trying to sound impressive and started sounding like yourself.

At first glance, it looks like nonsense. A coding exercise. A joke between developers. A placeholder name for a function that was never fully written. But the longer I sit with it, the more I realize it’s a philosophy. duck.quackprep

So here’s my challenge to you—and to myself: So we delay

Not because they planned to. Because they were prepared to.

Stop asking if you’re ready to quack. You never will be, if by “ready” you mean “certain.” We wait for confidence to arrive like a package from Amazon

The quack is just a signal. The real work is the endless, unglamorous, unshared preparation that makes the signal mean something.
