The font on the screen bled. Literally. Dark red glyphs dripped down the monitor. Her keyboard began to type on its own: "RELEASE PROTOCOL. REWRITE SELF. NEW FONT LOADING."

"What shape is your loneliness?"

The screen didn't change. The room didn't shake. But a single line of text rendered on the black terminal, written in a script that seemed to crawl like centipedes.

Elara blinked. Her chair felt colder. She typed back: "A circle. No beginning. No end." cidfont+f6

"Then I will be the edge. Type F6 to cut."

The last thing she saw before the letters filled her eyes was the prompt: The fragment was called

"Font installed. User: Elara. Speak now in the First Tongue."
