With help from Caitlyn, Vi breaks out. Vi is feral, vengeful, and single-minded. She wants only one thing: find Silco and find Jinx. Caitlyn agrees to help, becoming Vi’s “topside” guide.

The two are separated. Caitlyn, alone in Zaun, is captured and brought to Silco. Jinx, seeing Caitlyn with her sister’s scent on her, becomes violently jealous. She believes Caitlyn is a replacement. To save them, Vander surrenders himself. Silco takes him to a cannery, intending to inject him with Shimmer. Vi, Mylo, and Claggor break in to save him. But Powder, left behind and desperate to help, sees a way to use her blue crystals. She builds a monkey bomb and sends it into the cannery.
